Trois-Rivières, QC – July 7, 2025 – With incredibly deep regret, the organizers of the Trois-Rivières Reggae Fest, originally scheduled for August 22–24, 2025, announce that the event is canceled due to insufficient ticket sales and public support.
Despite significant time, energy, and passion invested in curating a powerful lineup of roots reggae artists and securing an incredible venue, the response from the ticket-buying public is almost non existant and has fallen short of what is needed to move forward.
“Though many people say they love reggae, the unfortunate reality is that very few are willing to actually support it,” said Paget Williams, festival founder and longtime advocate of independent music in Quebec. “It breaks my heart to consider pulling the plug on what we believed could be the festival of the summer. Myself and a small, dedicated team poured our hearts into this project—but it feels like no one else cared.”
The few ticket holders will be issued refunds.
